Editorial Policy

Financial information can affect people's savings and decisions, so we hold our content to a clear set of standards.

Sources

We prefer primary sources: government agencies (IRS, SEC, CFPB, EIA, Federal Reserve), exchanges and benchmark administrators (CME Group, ICE, LBMA) and official company filings. Each article lists its main sources.

Accuracy and updates

Every article shows the date it was last updated. We review figures that change regularly, such as contribution limits, at least once a year and after official announcements.

Calculators

Our calculators use standard formulas, which we explain on each calculator page. They run entirely in your browser. Results are estimates and depend on the assumptions you enter.

Independence

Advertising and any affiliate partnerships never influence our explanations. We do not recommend specific securities.

Corrections

If you spot an error, email [email protected]. We review every report and update the article with a corrected date.
